Preschool at Congregation Ner Tamid

Founded in 1978, the Congregation Ner Tamid Preschool was established to meet the needs of families desiring a warm and nurturing preschool experience for their children.

For children two years through five years of age, our Preschool program integrates the High/Scope curriculum which uses active learning to promote cognitive, social, emotional, physical and creative development.

Our children are also given the opportunity to observe and experience Jewish rituals, joys, celebrations and customs so that they can develop their own identities as Jews. We have Friday Shabbat parties, a Jewish music program, hands-on activities and projects, family programs and more.

All of our classes are taught by educated teachers who far exceed minimum licensing requirements. Our teachers continue to take classes in child development and are kept up-to-date in current early education trends. We also maintain very low child-to-teacher ratios.

Congregation Ner Tamid Preschool is in the process of receiving accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Bureau of Jewish Education.

Hours of Operation

9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday

1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Extended Day Program

Ages: 2 years - 5 years

Children in diapers welcome in our two-year old group.
