Upcoming Events

Toddler & Me, Thursdays, 9:30 am - 11:00 am Our mornings include playing in our dramatic play and block areas, art projects, playdough and enjoying our numerous puzzles and manipulatives. We have a special circle time, which includes our favorite Shabbat songs and nursery rhymes. The children learn the Shabbat blessing over the candles, “wine” and challah. We end our session in our beautifully equipped playground, including a climbing structure, sand toys and bikes.

Our program for CNT members is $162 and $198 for non-members, 9 sessions.  No refunds for absences. New children will be added at any time. Individual class is $20 for member and $26 for non member. For questions, please call our Preschool Director, Shelly Shapiro at (310) 544-7725.

 

Upcoming & Ongoing Events:

Roses From Israel: How would you like to enjoy roses from Israel for the month? If you place your order by the 15th, your roses will be available at the synagogue office by the first Thursday or Friday of most months. The cost is $25.00 per dozen. Please stop by the synagogue office for an order form and return to CNT along with your check made payable to CNT Sisterhood.

Ner Tamid Gift Shop - Shop at our Gift Shop for all your Judaica needs!

Judaica items are available for everyone's personal needs. We have items for Shabbat, holidays, simchas, as well as gift items for adults and children. Come browse our books and music. As always, the shop has lovely Tallits, Challah covers, Kiddush cups, candlesticks, and Challah plates.

The Gift Shop is open Monday - Thursday from 4:00pm - 6:00pm and Sundays from 9:00am - 12:00pm when Religious School is in session. You can always make an appointment for your shopping needs. We look forward to seeing you!

-Ralph’s, go to www.ralphs.com to learn more about the Community Contribution Program and sign up with a form held by Jackie, our synagogue receptionist. You will need to provide your Ralph’s Club Card #, Last Name, first initial, address and phone#.

 -Albertson’s, go to www.Albertsons.com. Go to “In the Community” (bottom of page). Go to “Albertson’s Community Partners” (right side of page). Go to “Shoppers login or register” and put in your preferred card # and phone #. Click on “Sign Me Up”. Then sign up for CNT as your community recipient with ID# 49001009676. Click “Update Now”. Then hit “Home” (upper right) and then “Exit” (upper right). If for some reason you need additional help you can call Albertson’s Customer Service at 1-877-9-EASY-4-U. 

Torah on Tuesday is now Prophets & Kings!  Our fourth year of reading and discussing Torah and text.  If you're interested in a small group experience with in-depth, lively discussions centering on the meaning of the stories in the Torah to our own experiences, please join us.  We meet every Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 p.m. in the Beit Midrash-the small sanctuary.  Hebrew or previous study experience is not necessary.

Minyan On Call - If you would like to attend a Sunday or weekday minyan to recite mourner's kaddish please call the CNT office at (310) 377-6986 at least 48 hours in advance.  That way we can make sure there will be enough people in attendance to recite kaddish. 

Minyanaires Wanted - To support the Minyan On Call program we need your name on the on-call list.  Please call the CNT office at (310) 377-6987 to sign up.  When a congregant requests a minyan we will call people from the list.  Any Jew 13 years of age or older counts in the Minyan.  Please support your community members in their time of need.
