Sundays: 9:30 am – Noon
Students experience a variety of activities including music, arts & crafts, and holiday celebrations. Holidays, Bible, Jewish ritual and the Hebrew alphabet are introduced.
Sundays: 9:30 am – Noon & Tuesdays: 4 pm – 6 pm
Students celebrate holidays, discuss the weekly Torah portion, learn about Israel, motzvot and God. Pre-primer and vocabulary work prep students for Hebrew reading. Specialists bring music, arts & crafts, and holiday celebrations to life.
Grades 3, 4, 5 & 6
Sundays: 9:30 am – Noon & select either:
Mondays & Wednesdays: 4 pm – 6 pm or
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 4 pm – 6 pm
Studies include Bible/History, Hebrew (prayer and ritual), holidays, Jewish philosophy, ethics and theology, and Tefillah (Services). During the week, students are divided by skill level into small groups for learning Hebrew. Special weekly activities include Chuggim (interest groups such as arts & crafts, drama, newspaper, etc).
Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 4 pm – 6 pm
Select Shabbat Sessions Saturdays: 9:00 am – Noon
Study of modern Jewish history is highlighted by the themes of Zionism and anti-Semitism. The Hebrew program concentrates on the Torah Service and holiday liturgy. As part of their Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation, students attend Shabbat Services on Saturdays rather than Sunday sessions.
