    Adult B’nai Mitzvah/Beginning Hebrew and Torah Readers’ Class with Cantor Goldman

    Tuesday, Mar 2nd 12:30p to 1:30p
    Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:30pm Reaching the age of a “second B’nai Mitzvah” (83), have never had a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, want to become a Torah reader, want to brush up on your readings skills, or just want to challenge yourself a little more this year? Join our learning cohort for a fun, communal experience as Cantor Rachel takes us through the Hebrew Letters and chanting system. We will be working towards a Shabbat service that will celebrate our newest Torah readers from this very class in Spring 2021. There has literally never been a better time to learn these new skills, or polish up on ones you learned decades ago. Class will be held via Zoom. Email rgoldman@nertamid.com for the Zoom link.

    Exploring Isaiah will not be held today

    (Most)Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 5pm Begins January 5th Join Rabbi Schuldenfrei for an exploration of one of the most widely interpreted books in the Bible, Isaiah. From a close reading of the text , we will seek to uncover the book’s original intent and see how it has been interpreted through the ages. Class will be held via Zoom.     Wednesdays at 12:30pm Research has shown that people are more comfortable with the dreaded “chhhh” sound in Hebrew after a cocktail…so grab a drink and join this incredibly fun, relaxed Hebrew Reading Lab designed for readers of all skill levels. We will continue to work on skills that improve Hebrew reading comprehension and speed, as well as learn to recognize common patterns in Hebrew. Drinks not required, but smiles are.     Prayerbook Hebrew the Easy Way

    Classes will be Saturdays, 12:30-1:15PM Can you read the words of the Prayerbook, but don’t know what they mean? Would you like to understand what you are saying and singing?
