CNT Sisterhood



Welcome to Sisterhood of CNT! We are affiliated with Women’s League for Conservative Judaism (WLCJ) which is part of the Masorti Movement. Our Sisterhood supports the synagogue’s and Women’s leagues’ goals in various ways, promotes Tikkun Olam projects, and Torah Fund programs around the world. Our events include:
· Jewish themed activities to socialize and encourage friendships;
· Tikkun Olam projects that benefit local and regional organizations;
· Fundraising to support the preschool, CLAL and USY programs;
· Camp Ramah and Camp Alonim Scholarships;
· Sponsoring Friday Evening Onegs;
· Torah Fund programs which assist rabbis, cantors and Jewish educators in their professional growth;
· Supporting Torah Fund programs which assists Rabbis, Cantors and Educators in their professional growth;
· Sisterhood Shabbat;
· The Judaica Gift Shop;
· Providing Bereavement table assistance.

To sign up, please either mail in a check to CNT or sign up directly online below. If you are not a CNT member, you are still welcome to join Sisterhood. We invite all who wish to do so, participate with us, whether it is for a one-time activity or for every event.
If you have any questions, need more information, want to share your ideas or would like to volunteer, please let us know. We appreciate your support in our endeavors.

Camp Ramah and Camp Alonim Scholarships:
Sisterhood is pleased to provide confidential need based financial assistance to CNT members in good standing for a child to attend either camp. Applications are available through CLAL and USY in the Spring.
Sisterhood Gift Shop
Our Judaica Gift shop is filled with a delightful selection of Judaica, jewelry, tallitot, kippot, mezuzot and gifts for all ages. Have an upcoming Simcha? Call us or visit us for personalized or bulk orders.
The shop is generally open on Sunday mornings when CLAL is in session. Please contact Marilyn Landau at 424-404-7785 to make an appointment, check hours, or for further information.

Torah Fund
Torah Fund supports scholarships and programs in the worldwide Conservative/Masorti institutes of higher Jewish learning, and assists rabbis, cantors and Jewish educators in their professional growth. More than 35 years ago women changed the Conservative Movement to become rabbis and cantors in synagogues. Torah Fund is a dedicated philanthropy of Women’s League and supports:
- The Jewish Theological Seminary (New York)
- Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies (Los Angeles)
- Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies (Jerusalem)
- Seminario Rabínico Latinoamericano (Buenos Aires)
- Zacharias Frankel College (Germany)
