DAVID PRESCHOOL
At the David School, our educational philosophy is rooted in the three pillars of Jewish values:
Limmud (Learning), Kehillah (Community), and Chesed (Kindness).
Our curriculum encourages age-appropriate learning, self-expression, conceptual development, creativity, and problem-solving through hands-on experiences. The curriculum also fosters multilingual (English and Hebrew) language development, nurtures artistic creativity, and plants the seeds for mathematical and scientific reasoning. Students are also taught about the Sabbath and Jewish holidays; for Jewish students, this religious training provides a foundation for Jewish identity and learning; for non-Jewish students, this teaching provides a fun, kid-friendly way to learn about another culture. Our small-school setting fosters a close-knit community. Parent and grandparent participation is highly encouraged, and activities are planned so families can socialize outside of regular school hours. We aim to create a caring and inclusive atmosphere. Our teachers model kindness so the children can learn sharing, conflict resolution, social/cultural awareness, and cooperation.
