This opening event of the series “Am Yisrael Chai - to Learn, to Do, Together “ will seek to build awareness on what it means to be the People of Israel (Am Yisrael), and to have a better understanding of what it means to be an ethno-religious group called the Jews. To reassemble this identity, we will explore: the definition of Zionism (and anti-Zionism); the meaning of the Hebrew word “Am”; what is an ethno-religious minority; and the story of the Jews as an ethno-religious minority indigenous to the Middle East.
